Do you write essays, assignments or dissertations?
No. The Student Mentor provides editing, proofreading, formatting and mentoring on work you have written. We never produce documents for submission, and we decline requests for ghostwriting.
Is it cheating to use a proofreader or editor at university?
Using a proofreader for your own work is permitted by most UK universities when the proofreader corrects language without changing academic content. Our tracked-changes model keeps you on the right side of that line.
Why don't you offer writing services like other sites?
Because contract cheating harms students and is now a criminal offence for providers in England. Our model — improving your work and your skills — is the version of academic support that survives university scrutiny.
Can you help me if I used AI to draft parts of my work?
Yes, within your university's AI policy. We edit for natural academic tone, clarity and consistency. Responsibility for disclosing AI use remains yours.

How do I get a quote?

What's your turnaround time?
Standard 48–72 hours; under-5,000-word documents typically 24–48 hours; express options on request.
What do I receive back?
A tracked-changes version showing every edit with explanatory comments, plus a clean accepted version, plus 7 days of free clarification.
Confidentiality & Data
Is my document kept confidential?
Yes. Documents are accessible only to your assigned editor and senior reviewer, never shared or reused, and deleted on request.
Will anyone know I used an editing service?
We never disclose client information. If your university requires you to declare proofreading assistance, we'll provide a scope statement.
Pricing & Payment
How is pricing calculated?
Per 1,000 words for document services (rate depends on service level and turnaround) and per session for mentoring. Your quote is fixed before work begins.
Are there hidden charges?
No. The quoted price covers the agreed scope, the senior quality check, and 7 days of post-delivery clarification.
