Coursework code is hard when the concept hasn't clicked yet. The Student Mentor offers one-to-one programming guidance that helps you understand your code — debugging your logic, explaining the concepts, and walking through approaches — so you can write and defend your own solution. We teach and mentor; we don't write assignments for submission.
This is for students who can follow along but get stuck: a recursion that won't terminate, a data structure they can't quite picture, an error message that means nothing, or a project brief they don't know how to break down.

Our ethical line — and it's firm here
This is the service where the line matters most, so we'll be explicit: we do not write, complete, or supply code for you to submit as your own. Doing so would be academic misconduct and would do nothing for the exam or interview where you have to demonstrate the skill yourself. What we do is help you understand, debug and reason about your own code — the way a good lab demonstrator or tutor would. You learn it; you write it; you can defend it.
If you need code written for you, we're not the right service — and we'll say so plainly.

What a session looks like
Programming guidance is hands-on and built around your code and your brief:
- Before — you share your code, the error or the brief, and tell us exactly where you're stuck.
- During — a one-to-one online session where we work through it together. We trace your logic, explain the concept underneath the bug, and guide you to the fix — rather than handing you a finished answer.
- After — you can reproduce the solution yourself and explain why it works, which is what matters when there's an exam, a viva, or a technical interview ahead.
The test we hold ourselves to: at the end of a session, could you write this yourself again, and defend it? If not, we haven't done our job.
Concepts we help with
Most students aren't stuck on syntax — they're stuck on an idea that hasn't landed yet. We focus on the concepts coursework assumes you already hold:
- Algorithms and complexity (why one approach is "better", not just whether it runs).
- Data structures — arrays, lists, trees, maps — and when to reach for each.

We won't: write, complete or supply code for you to submit as your own, sit your assessment, or do anything that would count as academic misconduct.
